Your work will include assisting in transitioning from mostly Excel based reporting to one that stores the data in a cloud database. Primary area of work will be on the Excel side, i.e. re-creating the required functionalities based on data pulled from the cloud. Depending on your skills and background it may include low code Power App development alongside Dataverse configuration, building migration queries and importing raw data from Excel to the cloud. While we’re looking for someone for a full-time trainee position now, an ideal candidate could continue working on a part-time basis while graduating and then join our back-office team full-time. In terms of the location of the work, we can be flexible.
The requirements for the job are:
- Good understanding of business and finance, including financial reporting, balance sheet, profit and loss statements, and cash flow calculations
- Fluent use of Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, including advanced use of formulas (INDEX, MATCH, VLOOKUP, INDIRECT, ADDRESS, multiple nested IFs, IF formula multiplication, CONCAT, SUBSTITUTE) as well as graphs
- Punctual, analytical mindset and can-do attitude with ability and will to learn new things fast as well as, helpful, co-operative attitude and motivation to do a positive dent in the world
- Fluent English, both written and spoken
The following will improve your odds of getting selected:
- Substantial portion of studies from either economics (finance, accounting), industrial management, or similar program required for a M.Sc. completed
- Prior use of PowerApps Office Add-in (data import, publishing the changes)
- Knowledge and experience of Power Query Editor either in context of Excel or some other Microsoft product (Type changes, Conditional Filtering, Computed Columns, conditional sourcing of values from multiple source columns into one)
- Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Dataverse and Power Platform (data modeling, tables and relationships, cloud flows, basic low code Power Apps application development)
- Some level of knowledge and experience on programming and / or relational databases.
- Good communications skills, ability to search and find information
