We are proud to make the following two announcements.

Our value creation and exit experience has received recognition as we have been appointed to manage the growth company portfolio of Korkia, a Finnish company operating internationally in asset management and strategic management consulting. Along with the agreement, the portfolio of fourteen growth companies operating in a range of industries from healthcare to maritime will move under Butterfly Ventures’ management. Our objective is to support these firms to take the next steps in their growth, and eventually formulate successful exit paths. We are excited to start the collaboration and look forward to working together with the management of the companies.

Furthermore, we are delighted to announce that we have a new member in Butterfly Ventures: Anti Kodar has joined our team as a Tallinn-based venture partner. Kodar provides valuable insight into the Baltic market – from the inside – besides adding strong legal and business experience to the team.

Kodar currently also serves as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Nova Vita Kliinik Group and Member of the Supervisory Board at Competence Center on Health Technologies. Kodar is an experienced lawyer operating as the managing partner in a legal & compliance firm WHTPR L&C. Previously, he was the managing director and group management team member of listed legal services firm Fondia, responsible for building the Baltic operations for six years. He has been actively advising deals and structures of start-ups and investors making investments into Baltic companies, also, being an active investor himself. Kodar holds a master of arts (MA) degree in Law from University of Tartu and finalising his master’s studies in international finance (MA) in Estonian Business School, where he has also given finance ethics and law lectures as a guest lecturer.
