Seasoned executive in venture financing, fundraising, fund management, and management of growth companies, as well as, experienced business executive in multinational ICT companies. Advisor for innovative startup companies, business angel and investor, with extensive international VC networks.
More than 10 years of experience in venture capital, and 20 years of experience in international information technology companies. He joined Eqvitec in 1999 and became the managing director of in 2002, leading Eqvitec to become one of the leading Nordic Venture Capitalists investing in technology companies. He has been board member in more than 20 technology companies, and experienced in growing businesses, making turn-arounds, executing M&A’s for international growth, IPO’s, realizing the value through exits to both domestic and international investors. Prior to that, he held management positions in large multinational technology companies, such as, Siemens-Nixdorf, Oracle, IBM, Xerox. Mäkinen is 60 years of age, and he holds a B.Sc. degree from the Helsinki School of Econimics.
Seasoned executive in venture financing and acceleration of innovative growth companies, internationally experienced executive in mobile phone and multimedia businesses, including R&D, technology management, quality, strategy, business development and innovation processes. Advisor for innovative startups, business angel and investor, with extensive international VC networks.
Most recently since 2009, he has served as Vice President, Business Development at the Finnish Innovation Fund, Sitra, responsible for Sitra’ VC investments, direct and fund: approx. 10-15 investments a year, and several exits. Parallel to that, he has acted as a business angel and invested both his time and other assets to help a few start-ups to prosper and develop their business, as well as, served as CapMan Industry Advisor in 2006-2010 helping CapMan team in fund raising. He spent almost 16 years with Nokia and held a variety of senior management roles in Mobile Phones and Multimedia, also being responsible for driving the innovation process for Nokia, and overseeing Nokia’s research strategy and portfolio. Before 1993, he was a Research Scientist in the Signal Processing Laboratory with Tampere University of Technology (TUT). Pasanen is 54 years of age, and holds a Licentiate in Technology degree from TUT.

More than 15 years of experience in founding and managing companies, developing businesses and realizing the value of those companies. Most recently, he has been the senior partner of Lexford Enterprises. He is also an advisor at US based IP consulting group Intellectual Assets Inc., and the founder and Chairman of Anadeus Ltd., an expert advisor in IPR strategies, IP protection related issues and licensing of high tech patents in Europe, Asia, and the US. He has been involved with over 30 international licensing projects. During the years 2000-2003, he was the CEO and Chairman of the Board of a stock-listed technology company QPR Software Plc. Prior to that, he was the CEO of European Business Institute, which he co-founded, and later merged this successful consulting and executive training business with QPR Software. Kosunen is 50 years of age, and he holds a Master of Science degree from the Helsinki School of Economics
