Risku is 40 years of age, and he holds a Master of Science degree in Economics from the University of Oulu.

Hands-on technology management and transaction specialist with 15 years of experience as investor, entrepreneur and legal counsel in the areas of wireless technology, Ecommerce and other innovation driven businesses in Europe and USA. Within Butterfly Ventures assisting companies especially in their technology management and monetization, go-to-market and governance. Prior to joining Butterfly Ventures, Heikkinen acted as the board member of a venture capital fund and several startups and investment committee member of another venture capital fund. Earlier, attorney-at-law with the leading Nordic commercial law firm and NYC based law firm, partner and manager with the disruptive commercial law firm and corporate governance and technology transactions in the Finnish listed companies. Heikkinen has deep understanding of public-private-partnerships on European Union level and active role in the Finnish startup ecosystem. Heikkinen is 39 years of age, and he holds Master of Laws (L.LM) degree and Master of Science in Economics degree from the Finnish Universities and has received additional training in MIT.

Experienced in working with Entrepreneurial / Founder-owned businesses on growth capital needs & exit strategies. Seasoned negotiator with both buy-side & sell-side experience in sectors including ICT, TMT, IoT, Industrial technology, oilfield/ energy services, agribusiness, consumer products and financial services. Collectively Tanya has managed assets and worked on transactions in excess of $1 Billion in the U.S., Mexico, U.K., Europe, Japan, China, Brazil, Columbia & Peru. In 2013, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Capital A Partners Venture Funds I & II. Invested in 18 companies; 11 U.S.A, 4 Sweden, 2 Finland, & 1 Iceland based. Responsibilities include deal sourcing & portfolio management including growth capital needs. Previously worked for 12 years with Wall Street firms such as Merrill Lynch & Allegiance Capital and moved to Stockholm in February 2014 from Manhattan. Tanya holds dual Bachelor Degree in Mathematics & Marketing from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia and with a Collegiate Tennis Scholarship.
David has been the Managing Partner at Capital A Partners (“CAP A”), an early stage seed VC fund since he co-founded it in 2013. CAP A operates out of Charleston, SC and Stockholm, Sweden and is focused on startups in the Eastern U.S., as well as in the Nordic Region of Europe, bridging those companies into the U.S. market. Prior to CAP A, David Mendez operated DPM Resources since 2003, an operations advisory and investment firm focused on corporate development, capital raising, M&A, and business development for small to medium sized technology-based businesses. He co-founded and successfully exited from Supplybase.inc, a VC-backed supply chain software company. After Supplybase he served as Managing Director for digital media venture capital firm Katalyst Venture Partners in New York City. Before pivoting his career to become an entrepreneur, venture capitalist and corporate development executive, Mr. Mendez spent the first 10 years of his career in several operational roles in engineering, business development and sales with GE, ConocoPhillips and DuPont. Mendez holds a mechanical engineering degree from Clemson University and an MBA degree from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at UNC-Chapel Hill.
